ENGRAVING
Engraving is the first corner stone in the vinyl record production process. This is taken care of by the customer or by Riviera Multimedia, in partnership with the best studios in France, Germany and the UK. All the engravings used on our production site are controlled and identified.
ELECTROPLATING
Electroplating is the stage during which a nickel matrix is produced through electrolysis.
Three steps are required:
- Developing of the engraving to create a "parent" matrix (engravings may only be developed once) - Creating of a copy of the parent through the same process. This results in a "mother" matrix. This will be stored and reused each time that a matrix is produced. - The "mother" is used to produce the matrices used for pressing. Matrices have a life expectancy of around 1000 records.
PRINTED MATERIALS
High performance printing of materials at a speed of 10,000 sheets / hour: labels, liner notes booklets, inserts, 30 cm and 17cm vinyl record sleeves (gatefold, with and without spines, 1 hole, 2 holes, stamping, bossing, hot gilding, etc. ) All-in-1 sleeve converting line (sheet cutting and folding and pasting of sleeves with and without spines)
PRESSING
To press your vinyl records, Riviera Multimedia uses the best vinyl compound material on the market. During pressing, a lump of material weighing around 200g is shaped at a temperature of 130°, then 2 labels are placed on either side. The disc shape is created when the material is crushed by a hydraulic press. Deburring is required to make sure that the record's diameter and finish are perfect.
PACKAGING
Your Vinyl product can be packaged in palin sleevs or full colour printed card covers
